Dartmouth Printing Company is one of five companies owned by The Sheridan Group, which is headquarted in Hunt Valley, MD. The Sheridan Group acquired Dartmouth Printing from Mike Smith and Dave Hewitt in February 1998.
In addition to Dartmouth Printing company, The Sheridan Group also owns The Sheridan Press in Hanover, PA., Dartmouth Journal Services in Waterbury, VT., The Dingley Press in Lisbon, ME, Sheridan Books, Inc. in Ann Arbor, MI., Sheridan Reprints in Hanover, PA. and United Litho, Inc. in Ashburn, VA.

Gary joined The Sheridan Group in 2000, serving as president of Capital City Press until March 2006. In April of 2006 he became president of Dartmouth Printing Company and shortly thereafter took over as president of our sister company, Dartmouth Journal Services. Gary is a 34 year veteran of the printing industry and has held various positions ranging from newspaper circulation management to technical engineering and sales.
A native New Englander, born in Quincy Massachusetts, Gary graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with advanced degrees in photography and printing technology. Gary also serves on the board of directors of the Printing Industries of New England.
